One particular question always arose in my mind and it was why people don’t have full range of motion after undergoing both knee replacements. I, Craig Raucher, had been taken by surprise that even the surgeons were least concerned regarding this matter. They did not seem to bother whether any person would not be able to return to his normal life after the operation. But I had other ideas. I, Craig Raucher, firmly believe that it would be possible to recover on time simply by strengthening your muscles, particularly in the leg. And vice versa is also true. So, I made up my mind to take my chances irrespective of whatever might happen. I started visiting the fitness center to get the job done. I worked hard to achieve my target.

There is a phrase “All that ends well is well”, and it was applicable in my case. Both my knee surgeries were successful in the long run. I, Craig Raucher, was amazed by the way in which they took care of my post-surgery pain. Here, I would like to mention that a couple of surgeons were involved in my surgeries, namely, Dr. Scott Marwin and Dr. David Mayman, both of whom were experienced physicians. The first surgery was done when I was 59 years old and the next was done when my age was 62 years. And, the best thing was that they kept me in the hospital for only 24 hours, and following this, I, Craig Raucher, was released.

I like to end this article by asserting that I was fortunate to find a great hospital and 2 great surgeons who never let me down. I, Craig Raucher, am sometimes amazed to think that not many men will be able to play competitive basketball at my age even without undergoing knee surgeries!
